Padua Children’s Hospital: AirFlow Ultra for the new operating rooms

For the new operating rooms at the Padua Children’s Hospital, a reference healthcare facility dedicated to paediatric care, Nicfa® AirFlow Ultra was selected as the intelligent air filtration solution for the surgical environment.

Within a project focused on high-level technologies and solutions, Ultra brings the Nicfa Smart System into the operating room, continuously monitoring environmental parameters, analysing data in real time and automatically regulating the filtration ceiling to maintain ISO 5 conditions even in operation, without interruption.

The system dynamically adapts airflow to the operating conditions of the room and automatically optimizes system performance. When no activity is detected, ECO mode helps reduce energy consumption and operating costs. All environmental parameters are also recorded in the Digital Environmental Record, creating objective and always accessible documentation for analysis, verification and audits.
